TAIPEI, Taiwan -- With the growing popularity of the smartphone game "Pokemon Go," more business opportunities have been created in department stores.

After "Pokemon Go" was released, many youth have become hooked on it, and even middle-aged people have been spotted immersing themselves in the game.

Many department stores are targeting the business opportunities of Virtual Reality (VR). For example, Living Mall ([...]) has introduced a designated VR hall to let consumers experience the new technology.

Living Mall said customers would be able to try out more than 100 VR games featuring adventures, disasters, scare scenes, flying and war. Customers will experience a different world by sitting on a vibrating seat and wearing a VR headset.

Because of its close distance to the Taipei Main Station, Q Square has three to four "PokeStops" inside. …
