Hall of Fame game returns to Hamilton

HAMILTON - The annual Canadian Football Hall of Fame game is returning to Hamilton.

The 2016 induction class -- which includes builder Don McDonald and former players Doug Brown, Rodney Harding, Derrell (Mookie) Mitchell and James West -- will be formally inducted at halftime of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats home game with the Montreal Alouettes on Sept. 16. It will mark the first time the Hall of Fame game will be held in Hamilton since 2008.

"I would like to once again thank the selection committee for its commitment and dedication in selecting yet another excellent and deserving group," Mark DeNobile, the executive director of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum, said in a statement. "This is the fourth class selected under the new terms of reference under which we proudly recognize all levels of Football in Canada. …
