Alberta murder trial hears victim's 911 call

PEACE RIVER, Alta. - The trial of a northern Alberta man accused of killing his wife and her daughter has heard the 911 call made by one of the victims before police found their bodies.

Edward Chomiak is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the December 2010 deaths of Melody Perry and Jerica Bouchard.

On the 911 call played in court in Peace River on Tuesday, Perry tells a 911 dispatcher that Chomiak is in the house with a gun and shot her daughter.

The dispatcher tells her to stay in the bathroom and close the door, and doesn't hear anything more from Perry.

RCMP discovered Perry and her daughter dead in a home near Fahler, 430 kilometres northwest of Edmonton. …
