VANCOUVER - Prince William and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, are set to visit British Columbia with their two young children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The House of Windsor has a close bond with Canada, with many royal tours over the years. Here's a look back at some of the monarchy's most memorable visits since 1957:

1957: Queen Elizabeth's first official visit.

1959: The Queen tours all of Canada. She officially opens the St. Lawrence Seaway.

1970: Prince Charles makes his first official visit to Canada with a trip to Ottawa before joining the Queen, his father, and sister, Princess Anne.

1982: The Queen is in Ottawa to sign the Proclamation of the Constitution Act.
