Giroux, Muzzin, Crawford to suit up for Canada

TORONTO - Forward Claude Giroux, defenceman Jake Muzzin and goaltender Corey Crawford will be added to Canada's lineup tonight in its game against Europe at the World Cup of Hockey.

The trio will replace Ryan Getzlaf, Shea Weber and Carey Price. Braden Holtby will serve as Crawford's backup. Head coach Mike Babcock said Getzlaf, Weber and Price will all be available when Canada plays in the semifinals this weekend.

Weber sat out Canada's final practice before the start of the tournament for maintenance.

Giroux, Muzzin and Holtby were all scratched in Canada's first two preliminary round games, wins over the Czech Republic and United States.

Babcock didn't reveal where Giroux and Muzzin would fit in the lineup. Getzlaf has been paired up with John Tavares and Steven Stamkos, while Weber lined up alongside Marc-Edouard Vlasic. …
