TORONTO - An 1926 Rocky Mountain oil canvas by Lawren Harris is heading to the auction block.

Heffel Fine Art Auction House announced Tuesday that it will feature the Group of Seven leader's work "Mountain Forms" at its upcoming fall live auction in November.

The canvas is expected to fetch between $3 million and $5 million.

The painting depicts Mount Ishbel in the Sawback Range in the Rocky Mountains.

The last 12 months has seen a career renaissance of the Brantford, Ont.-born artist more than four decades after his death.

Four of his paintings sold by Heffel have surpassed the million-dollar mark, led by "Mountain and Glacier," which set an auction record for the artist and sold for $4. …
