REGINA. x-08s. A report from Food Banks Canada says eight out of 10 provinces saw increased traffic at food banks this past March. The biggest jumps occurred in Alberta, Saskatchewan, the three territories and Nova Scotia. Steve Compton, C-E-O of the Regina Food Bank, says the higher numbers in his province can be attributed to one thing.

TAG: The increase in food-bank usage in Saskatchewan was the third highest among the provinces, at 17-and-a-half per cent. That translates to an extra 31-thousand people in the province having to use the facilities.
