NAT105 - (Bovine-TB) OTTAWA. x-17s. Federal officials say at least 10-thousand cattle are going to slaughter as a result of a bovine tuberculosis outbreak in western Canada. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency's chief veterinary officer Doctor Harpeet Kochhar (koh-CHAR') says cattle on another 12 farms are considered "high risk" for contracting or transmitting the infectious disease, for a total of 18 premises considered infected. TAG: More than 22-thousand cattle on 40 premises in southeast Alberta and five in southwest Saskatchewan remain under quarantine.
