German photographer wins Aimia/AGO prize

TORONTO - Germany's Ursula Schulz-Dornburg has won the 2016 Aimia/AGO Photography Prize.

The Berlin-born, Dusseldorf-based photographer was selected by public vote and will receive $50,000.

The three runners-up -- Talia Chetrit of the U.S., Jimmy Robert of France and Vancouver's Elizabeth Zvonar -- will each receive $5,000 to support their photography practices.

Voting took place in person at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto and on the prize's website at .

The four finalists have had their work showcased at an exhibition at the AGO, which will remain on display until Jan. 1. The works can also be viewed on the prize website.

The award is co-presented by the Art Gallery of Ontario and Aimia, a data-driven marketing and loyalty analytics company. …
