NAT120 - (Mba-Service-Pig) WINNIPEG. x-14s. One little piggie is staying home -- for now. Podgy the pot-bellied pig has been granted a reprieve by officials in Winnipeg. The city ruled earlier this year that Podgy wasn't a pet and had to go, but its owner then claimed the pig as a service animal. Emily Sydor says Podgy helps with her mental health. She told a city hall committee today that because her pig helps her, she wants to get it outside each day for some exercise. ("..for walks.") (SOURCE:The Canadian Press)
