REGINA. x-17s. Premier Brad Wall says Saskatchewan remains firmly against Ottawa's plan for a carbon tax as he heads to a meeting with other premiers and the prime minister. Wall says he doesn't think either side is going to change their position, but he says the province has to be at the meeting in Ottawa this week to make its case. The premier also says Ministry of Justice lawyers believe Saskatchewan could have a court case if Ottawa imposes the tax on Saskatchewan.

("...court accordingly.") (SOURCE:The Canadian Press)

TAG: Wall argues that the federal plan to charge 10 dollars per tonne of carbon starting in 2018 and increasing to 50 dollars by 2022 would hurt the economy while having the least impact on reducing emissions.
