VICTORIA. X-15s. British Columbia's privacy commissioner's office says a medical clinic using video and audio surveillance did not have the consent of patients, employees or anyone entering the building. Acting privacy commissioner Drew McArthur says a complaint was filed, and an audit concluded the clinic in the Lower Mainland should stop using the surveillance equipment until it has a proper policy in place. McArthur says surveillance may only be appropriate if there's evidence of significant crime or if an employee is working alone in a high-risk area.
