WHL Roundup: No. 1 ranked Pats rout Broncos

REGINA - Dawson Leedahl had two goals and three assists as the Regina Pats routed the Swift Current Broncos 8-1 on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Nick Henry had two goals and two assists for the No. 1 nationally ranked Pats (21-2-5) while Connor Hobbs also struck twice. Riley Woods and Filip Ahl rounded out the attack.

Kaden Elder scored on the power play for Swift Current (15-10-6).

Tyler Brown made 26 saves for the win in net. Taz Burman took the loss by stopping 12-of-16 shots in 23:17. Travis Child went the rest of the way and made 25 saves.

Regina was 2 for 3 on the power play and the Broncos scored once on four chances.

WARRIORS 7 RAIDERS 3

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. -- Jayden Halbgewachs had two goals and two assists to lead Moose Jaw past the Raiders.

Noah Gregor and Tanner Jeannot also struck twice with Gregor adding an assist for the Warriors (17-6-5). Brett Howden had the other goal.

Austin Glover, Tim Vanstone and Spencer Moe scored for Prince Albert (6-23-1).

HITMEN 3 REBELS 2 (OT)

CALGARY -- Beck Malenstyn scored to force extra time and then added the winner in overtime as the Hitmen slipped past Red Deer for their third straight win.

Jakob Stukel had a power-play goal in the first period for Calgary (11-14-2).

Michael Spacek and Evan Polei found the back of the net for the Rebels (15-12-5).

OIL KINGS 5 WHEAT KINGS 1

EDMONTON -- Aaron Irving and Lane Bauer each struck twice as the Oil Kings downed Brandon.

Bauer added an assist and Brayden Gorda had the other goal for Edmonton (14-14-2).

Reid Duke tied the game at 1-1 with a power-play goal in the first period for the Wheat Kings (13-13-4).

HURRICANES 3 TIGERS 2

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. -- Giorgio Estephan scored the winner in the third period as the Hurricanes topped Medicine Hat.

Jordy Bellerive and Brennan Riddle had goals just over a minute apart in the second period for Lethbridge (16-11-4), which improved to 9-0-1 in its last 10 games.

David Quenneville had a pair of power-play goals for the Tigers (21-10-1), who dropped their fifth in a row.
