NAT006 - (OBIT-Alan-Thicke) WASHINGTON. x-18s. Canadian-born performer Alan Thicke, who gained his greatest fame as the beloved dad on a long-running U-S sitcom, has died at the age of 69. A publicist for his son, singer Robin Thicke, says the Kirkland Lake, Ontario native died from a heart attack yesterday in Los Angeles. In a 1999 interview, Thicke said that as he got older he learned to put his family first. ("..world can wait.") (SOURCE:The Associated Press)

TAG: Thicke played Dr. Jason Seaver, a psychiatrist and father on the sitcom "Growing Pains" from 1985 to 1992.
