VANCOUVER. x-11s. Economists are calling on the B-C government to help with Vancouver's piping-hot housing market by cajoling municipalities into loosening zoning restrictions and encouraging more density. Economist Tom Davidoff from the University of British Columbia says he doesn't buy it when Premier Christy Clark says the ball is entirely in the cities' court when it comes to increasing the supply of homes. Davidoff says the province has the power to regulate and motivate municipalities to boost housing stock.
