REGINA. x-12s. Public-sector workers in Saskatchewan will be asked next year to help tackle the province's one-billion-dollar deficit, potentially through wage rollbacks or layoffs. Premier Brad Wall says he hopes there's goodwill and good faith on the part of unions, managers and people who work in the public service to realize that even what's being paid right now may not be sustainable. But Wall says deficits can't continue and the books need to be balanced.
