WINNIPEG. x-12s. Manitoba union leaders are hoping to get some details today about the provincial government's cost-cutting plans. Leaders of the major public-sector unions are meeting with Finance Minister Cameron Friesen to discuss the government's promise to control public-sector salaries. Michelle Gawronsky (gah-RON'-skee) of the Manitoba Government and General Employees Union says she's anxious to hear straight from the government.
