NAT107 - (Teachers-BC) VANCOUVER. x-08s. The B-C government has added 50-million-dollars to the education budget, allowing schools to start hiring the equivalent of 11-hundred new teachers immediately. The announcement comes after a Supreme Court of Canada decision restored teachers' bargaining rights over class size and composition last year. Education Minister Mike Bernier says a lot has changed in the province since the restored agreement was in place in 2002. ("..in the province.") (SOURCE:The Canadian Press)
