VANCOUVER. x-14s. Officials in Vancouver say they're ready for another round of icy temperatures and snow, with crews scattering salt and sand on streets to prevent the city from once again turning into a skating rink. The city's general manager of engineering services Jerry Dobrovolny (DOUGH-bra-VOLL-knee) says there were two to three-hundred calls per day from residents reporting areas where snow removal was a problem. He says the city has ramped up its staffing, and diverted water and sewer construction crews to help with the snow clearing.
