(Nenshi-Rempel-Spat)

Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi (nah-HEHD' NEHN'-shee) says he's sorry he came off as sexist in a dispute with Conservative Calgary M-P Michelle Rempel.

Rempel and Nenshi began sparring on Twitter last weekend over the impact of a property tax hike on suburban business owners.

The disagreement escalated two days later when Nenshi told reporters Rempel didn't know what she was talking about and that apparently math is challenging.

Rempel, who has an economics degree, described the comment as -- quote -- "mansplaining," but Nenshi says he would have said the same thing to a man. (The Canadian Press)

The teen was taken to University of Alberta Hospital with an injured neck vertebrae and spinal cord damage and is recovering from surgery yesterday.

In a Facebook statement issued Monday, Jump Park Trampoline confirmed the incident and said its foam pit meets industry standards. (CTV Edmonton, The Canadian Press)

Roberts says her daughter was rushed to hospital to warm up after sitting outside in -19 Celsius weather.

She says the school apologized after telling her the bus driver was running late and failed to pick up some students -- but Roberts says that's not enough. …
