Three Children Seriously Hurt in Bulldog Attack

THREE children and one adult were taken to hospital with serious injuries after being attacked by an American Bulldog yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called at about 12.50pm to Bluestone Road, Moston, to reports of a dog out of control.

When officers attended, they discovered the American Bulldog had attacked four people.

The victims are one adult and three children, aged 12, 14 and 17.

The dog was detained in the property while the victims were taken to hospital.

The animal has since been seized by a company which provides emergency care for animals across Manchester.

The victims are currently being treated for serious injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening, but it is unclear at this stage what the injuries are.

The American Bulldog is not a banned breed under the Dangerous Dogs Act - and is not to be confused with the American Pit Bull Terrier, which is banned. …
