Aguero on Target to Be City's All-Time Top Scorer

SERGIO Aguero will break City's all-time goalscoring record by the end of this year fi if he keeps hitting the net at his current rate.

The Blues striker bagged his 154th goal for the club in the 5-0 thrashing of West Ham on Friday night.

That took him one clear of legend Colin Bell in third place in the list.

And he is now just 12 goals behind the number two, 1920s ace Tommy Johnson, who netted 166 times in 354 appearances between 1919 and 1930.

At his current rate of scoring, Aguero will pass that total by the end of the season, leaving just one man ahead of him in the all-time list.

Top of the heap is Eric Brook, who continued where Johnson left off, bagging 178 goals in 496 games from 1927 to 1939.

Aguero's 154 goals have come in a phenomenal 229 appearances - and he actually appears to be speeding up in terms of his goal rate. …
