JOE Hart could still play under Pep Guardiola, according to former City goalkeeper Shay Given.

The 29-year-old, who spent a decade at the Etihad, was allowed to join Torino on loan after Guardiola signed Claudio Bravo from Barcelona in August.

Bravo has yet to fully convince in Hart's absence and has kept just five clean sheets so far this season.

And Given believes Guardiola's apparent u-turn on Yaya Toure shows that the England No.1 could be handed a reprieve, too.

Toure appeared destined to leave the club before the Catalan recalled him in November - and Given feels Hart could yet come back to challenge Bravo to be City's No.1. "I don't see why not," he told Sky Sports.

"We've seen this year with Yaya Toure. He was out of the picture, he wasn't even part of the Champions League squad, he wasn't in the squads, he wasn't training with the team - he wasn't fit enough, supposedly. …
