CENTRAL SAANICH. x-17s. Southern B-C has been hit by a series of snowstorms that have left drifts of deep snow from Vancouver Island all the way to the Alberta boundary. Most snow-wary British Columbians have battled the white stuff with snow shovels or the occasional blower, but a farmer in Central Saanich, just outside Victoria, had bigger ideas....he fired up his second-hand Zamboni. Central Saanich Police Corporal Dan Cottingham says officers were called during the height of the storm last night and found the Zamboni driver, hard at work.
