WINNIPEG. x-10s. The Manitoba government has cut funding to a number of health-care projects, including a 300-million-dollar expansion to CancerCare Manitoba. The project was originally announced by former N-D-P premier Greg Selinger in January 2016 and was supposed to help thousands of cancer patients in the province. But Health Minister Kelvin Goertzen (GUHRT'-zen) says the province has had to make choices to ensure that health care is sustainable now and in the future.
