WINNIPEG. x-11s. The Manitoba government is offering more help for asylum-seekers crossing the border from the United States. The province has announced more emergency shelters, more funding for paralegal services and more paramedics for the border community of Emerson-Franklin. The community's reeve. Greg Janzen, says the news is welcome because the number of border-crossers is only going to grow.
