HALIFAX. x-16s. A Nova Scotia legislature committee has been told the public outcry surrounding the acquittal of a Halifax cab driver accused of sexually assaulting a woman who was found intoxicated in his cab is proof efforts to educate the public about sexual violence are having an effect. Stephanie MacInnis-Langley of the Nova Scotia Council on the Status of Women says the Halifax case and others from across the country have led to a helpful public discussion.
