ST. LOUIS - There was the physical pain of having a puck deflect into his mouth - he wasn't wearing a mouthguard - which forced Pavel Zacha to miss the next four games as his front three teeth were pushed back and needed to be reset in his gums.

Then, there was another kind of pain for the 19-year-old rookie from the Czech Republic, who was initially unable to eat solid foods. Zacha rejoined the lineup for Thursday night's game against the Blues at Scottrade Center.

"It was like four or five days, I was drinking shakes," said Zacha, injured in the first period of a 5-4 overtime win at Nashville on Dec. 3. "It was really painful because my parents were here and they wanted to cook me a meal, stuff from back home, and I couldn't eat it."

Zacha, who had two goals and five assists in his first 24 games as he was used as both a center and left wing, said his teeth have been re-positioned but he still needs additional dental work when this road trip ends. …
