Canada's number crunching agency says the national unemployment rate dropped to 6.6 per cent last month, its lowest level in more than two years, as fewer people were looking for work. B-M-O senior economist Benjamin Reitzes (RYT'-zez) says the job numbers, combined with other economic data, have taken the prospect of an interest rate cut at the Bank of Canada completely off the table.
