PEP Guardiola will not be happy when he sees the name of the referee appointed for Sunday's Arsenal showdown.

The Premier League has appointed Andre Marriner to take control of the meeting at the Emirates - and last time he officiated in a City match it led to ructions.

Guardiola later asked for a meeting with referees' chief Mike Riley, incensed by Marriner's failure to award a clear penalty when Kyle Walker shoved Raheem Sterling in the back as he homed in on goal as the Blues took on Spurs at the Etihad Stadium.

Sterling managed to stay on his feet but the push forced him off balance and he fluffed his shot.

The incident should also have brought Walker a red card, as it was intentional, but instead Spurs survived, with City leading 2-1, and equalised shortly afterwards. …
