REGINA. x-17s. Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall says he knows urban municipalities have concerns about provincial budget cuts. The comment came after the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association said some communities are facing a dire financial situation because of cuts to grants in lieu -- money that the province gave to cities instead of paying property tax on government buildings or infrastructure. Wall says the government was trying to be fair in the way it tackled a 1.3 billion dollar deficit.
