Corrie Favourite Bev Reveals Latest Diagnosis as She Fights Depression

Coronation Street star Beverley Callard CORONATION Street star Beverley Callard has revealed she's been diagnosed with type two bipolar disorder.

Bev, who plays the legendary barmaid Liz McDonald in Corrie, appeared on the ITV1 chat show Loose Women to celebrate her 60th birthday.

And she told the panel about her latest diagnosis after battling depression.

She said: "My doctor seems to think I'm bipolar two, and I didn't really know what that was.

"With ordinary bipolar you get massive highs and massive lows, and I don't get the massive highs.

"I get the bad bits, really."

Describing the illness, she added: "If you're a strong person it can get you down.

"It's the curse of the strong." Last year Bev thanked fans and co-stars for their support after taking time out from the ITV1 soap while battling mental illness. …
