NAT118 - (SPORTS-HKW-World-Women) PLYMOUTH, Mich. x-10s. Canada kicks off the women's world hockey championship Friday in Plymouth, Michigan against defending champion and host United States. The American women had threatened to boycott the tournament if they didn't get more financial support from U-S-A Hockey. The two sides came to an agreement earlier this week.
