FIVE heritage buildings in Didsbury are being transformed to create a unique development of high quality homes.

The grade II listed buildings were said to be homed on"the most handsome main road frontage in all of Manchester" by Wesleyan Methodists.

The buildings were previously part of Manchester Metropolitan University Campus, up until 2014.

The principal building, Sandhurst House, has been converted into exquisite three and four bedroom Mews Homes and mansion style apartments which centre around a landscaped courtyard.

Didsbury now has the highest number of listed buildings outside Manchester City Centre and is becoming well-known for its historic architecture.

Manchester-based heritage property specialists PJ Livesey were appointed as the preferred developers in 2015 and development of the site is well underway.

St James Park has an interesting history, not to mention some of the most striking buildings within Manchester.
