North Korea Fires Ballistic Missile into East Sea

WASHINGTON * The White House is ratcheting up the urgency over North Korea's nuclear pursuit ahead of the first meeting of President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, with a senior U.S. official warning that the "clock has now run out" on Pyongyang.

Trump and Xi will huddle Thursday and Friday at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

Speaking at a forum Tuesday, Trump called North Korea a "humanity problem." A White House official later said "all options are on the table," though the official would not say what steps Trump was willing to take .

Meanwhile, North Korea conducted another ballistic missile test early Wednesday, the latest provocation from Kim Jong Un's regime as he seeks to build a nuclear arsenal.

The projectile was fired into the East Sea and flew about 37 miles, South Korea's joint chiefs of staff said in a text message. …
