CALGARY - The Calgary Flames recalled goaltender Jon Gillies from the American Hockey League on Sunday on an emergency basis.

Gillies, Calgary's third round pick (75th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft, made his NHL debut for the Flames on Thursday and earned the win with a 27-save performance.

He has also played 39 games for the AHL's Stockton Heat in his second professional season and has an 18-14-1 record with a shutout, a 2.93 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage.

The 23-year-old leads the Heat goalies in games played and wins as the club is currently in the fourth playoff spot in the AHL's Pacific Division with four games remaining.
