TUESDAY Theatre / My Country The main problem with staging a play about the current British political landscape is, as if you needed reminding, the furious pace at which everything is moving. From Cameron to Corbyn, May to Sturgeon, Boris to Farage - rarely has that Harold Wilson quote, 'a week is a long time in politics', seemed more eerily apt.

Even so, if there's one event that looks unlikely to abandon the news agenda (especially within the next two years), it's that dreaded topic of Brexit - and more to the point, the manner in which Britain will be leaving the European Union.

No one is quite sure what is going to happen, or what the result means about our national identity. With this mind, a stellar team of talents - including Rufus Norris, Director of the National Theatre, and Carol Ann Duffy, the Poet Laureate - have collaborated on a brand new piece, My Country, exploring surely the most important aspect of the whole Brexit process: the British public's opinion. …
