WIGAN will welcome a St Helens side without a coach for the traditional Good Friday derby, after the club's dismissal of Keiron Cunningham.

Sean Long - a former Warriors player - has been placed in temporary charge of the club, alongside Jamahl Lolesi and under-19s coach Derek Taylor.

Saints come into the match on the back of a disappointing start to the season. They are in seventh place with three wins from their opening eight matches.

Club chairman Eamonn McManus said: "It is both upsetting and disappointing for us all that it has ended at this point in time.

"Keiron nevertheless understands the position and, as a mark of the man that he is, wishes only well and good to the club, its players and everyone associated with it. …
