FC UNITED OF MANCHESTER came up short on Saturday as they were beaten 2-1 at home to Brackley Town.

It was Brackley who went ahead just after the half-hour mark through Gareth Dean.

Nathan Lowe equalised from the penalty spot for the Rebels in the second half, but James Armson then netted for Brackley to ensure that the visitors picked up the win and leave FC United in 14th place.

STALYBRIDGE CELTIC also suffered defeat after losing 2-1 at Gloucester to bring their run of three straight wins to an end.

Luke Hopper netted the opener for Gloucester in the second half, but Kieran Dunbar was on hand to level things up for Stalybridge with 10 minutes remaining.

Hopper soon restored his side's lead and condemn secondbottom Celtic to defeat. …
