Hodgkiss Named New Lancashire Chairman

DAVID Hodgkiss has been named as Lancashire's new chairman, replacing Michael Cairns who officially stepped down last night.

Cairns joined the Red Rose committee in 2000 and took over as chairman in 2008, overseeing huge change at the club including the Pounds 60m redevelopment of Emirates Old Trafford.

Hodgkiss joined the committee in 1998 and has been a non-executive director for the last two decades, including a spell as honorary treasurer between 2003 and 2013, and vice chairman since 2013.

David Hodgkiss is chief executive of William Hare Group, the leading independent steel fabrication company in the UK, with an annual turnover in excess of Pounds 190 million. Chris Bird was also re-elected onto the Lancashire board while Sir Howard Bernstein was re-elected president. …
