Ed Sheeran could have given his voice a rest during his Saturday night gig at Manchester Arena, if he'd wanted to. From the off, the arena, which was packed to the rafters, was happy to sing each song for him, word-for-word.

"I want you to sing everything," Sheeran said as he kicked off the show. "It's mandatory, I want you to make up the words if you don't know them. Be uncool, do weird dances.

"Hopefully you'll know all the songs..."

If you don't, where have you been?!

The crowd didn't need telling twice, such is the power of the man who's dominated the charts and radio channels recently.

Despite being described as musical Marmite, the atmosphere proved the crowd was decidedly in favour of Sheeran's easy-to- digest tunes.

After taking to the stage, Sheeran slowly launched into Castle On The Hill, before making his way through the majority of his new album, Divide, plus all his older favourites - only pausing to quickly swap guitars between tracks. …
