Police Manhunt after Hairdresser Robbed with Knife

POLICE have released CCTV images after a hair salon worker was robbed at knifepoint.

The 43-year-old victim was working at the hairdresser's, on Market Street, Droylsden, when a man walked in claiming he was being chased.

When the woman asked him to leave, the man produced a Stanley knife from his pocket.

He then held it to her neck and demanded she open the shop safe.

The woman agreed and the man fled with cash stuffed down his trousers, in the direction of Chapel Street.

Greater Manchester Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident, which took place at around 4.45pm on Saturday, March 25.

Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the robbery.

A woman terrified robbed at Det Claire Det Cons Claire Robinson, of GMP's Tameside Borough, said: "A woman was left terrified after being robbed at knifepoint and it is vital that we catch the person who did it. …
