P19 - (Defence Spending) OTTAWA. x-17s. Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan says the armed forces have been left to struggle to do even basic tasks after years of underfunding. He says his government's upcoming new defence policy will be a plan to allocate realistic funding to what he calls the "bread and butter" projects the military needs to run efficiently and effectively in the future.
