Man Told Police He Mistook 'iPhone' Stun Gun for Sex Toy

A MAN who was caught with an illegal stun gun disguised as an iPhone later claimed to police he thought it was a sex toy.

Mark Jackson, 33, has been jailed for bringing the weapon into the UK from Thailand and keeping it at his home in north Manchester.

Manchester Crown Court heard police raided a property on Shiredale Road, Harpurhey, in July last year and found the device, which he claimed he had mistaken for a sex toy.

The stun gun was disguised to look like an iPhone and was recovered along with Pounds 2,000 in cash, officers said.

They arrested Jackson at the address on suspicion of possession of a firearm and money laundering.

He pleaded guilty and appeared at Manchester Crown Court for a special 'Newton hearing' to decide the severity of the punishment.

In his defence, Jackson said he bought the stun gun in Thailand in 2016 believing it was a sex toy and brought it back with him to the UK. …
