Authorities in Quebec say the body of a 37-year-old man who was swept up in the flooding on Sunday has been found.

Provincial Police say the body of Mike Gagnon of Saint-Anne-des-Monts was recovered yesterday not far from where a strong current pulled his car toward the Sainte-Anne River in eastern Quebec.

A woman in the car managed to save herself, but a two-year-old girl has not yet been found -- a search for her will resume this morning.

Meanwhile, more than 15-hundred soldiers are now helping Quebecers deal with flooding that has caused widespread damage and evacuations.

Quebec's public security minister says water levels across the province are expected to peak by Wednesday then begin to recede.

Heavy rains and melting snowpack across Quebec have so far flooded two-thousand-429 residences, forcing the evacuation of more than 15-hundred people in almost 150 municipalities. …
