Police spokesman Michael Woody says he can't provide details on what led investigators to begin looking at that as a possible cause other than to say there were "basic things observed at the scene." The 52-year-old lead singer of Soundgarden and later Audioslave was found dead on the bathroom floor of a room at the M-G-M Grand Hotel in Detroit after performing last night as part of a tour with Soundgarden.
