Blues Want Toure to Sign New Contract at the Etihad

YAYA Toure remains the last of six senior players out of contract whose City futures have yet to be sorted out.

But despite a new deal not yet being signed chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has confirmed that City intend for the Ivorian to remain at the club next season.

It has been a mixed season for the 34-year-old who was left out of Pep Guardiola's Champions League squad at the start of the season and then frozen out of the first team.

But Toure forced his way back in to the team after a apologising for comments made by his agent Dimitri Seluk.

Since then he's been an integral part of City's team and Khaldoon is determined to keep him at the Etihad.

Speaking to ManCityTV he explained: "Yaya has shown us this year again and again how he can contribute to this team.

"Yaya is one of the players that over the last six years has been instrumental to the success of this club. …
