The manager of a C-I-B-C in Truro says Dalhousie student William Sandeson was deeply in debt and under pressure from his parents about his spending in the weeks before he allegedly murdered another student.

Adam Hayden told a jury in Nova Scotia Supreme Court yesterday that Sandeson owed 73-thousand dollars on a 200-thousand dollar line of credit.

He says the money was for Sandeson to go to medical school.

Sandeson is accused of murdering physics student Taylor Samson during a drug deal in August 2015. Samson's body has never been found.
