CALGARY. x-13s. The number of drone incidents involving piloted aircraft is continuing to rise according to a study from the University of Calgary study. The numbers were obtained fromTransport Canada Civil Aviation Daily Occurrence Reporting System database. U of C associate professor Chris Hugenholtz (HUE'-gen-HOLTZ') says between November, 2005 and December, 2016 a total of 355 drone incidents were reported in Canadian airspace and 22 per cent were considered near misses.
