Lin's wedding ceremony is due to take place this weekend at Changhua's Bagua Mountain, and the police's plan to deploy 300 officers to "maintain public order" is stoking debate.

Lin criticized the decision, saying it would invade the privacy of his family.

"If the police are really here to maintain order, (I ask them to) please reconsider this move," he wrote on Facebook.

The former protest leader said that the wedding was supposed to be a private matter, but that the police had publicized the location, "severely interfering with personal privacy."

Netizens have posted a Changhua police patrol order online and flooded the National Police Agency's (NPA) Facebook page with criticism. …
